Khenpo Sonam Gyurme is the person, who is directly in touch with Dharma Sangha. He holds a PHD (doctorate of philosophy) in Buddhism from Buddhist University, Sikkim. Amidst good opportunities to serve in different Buddhist monastery in Kathmandu, broadcasting about Buddhism in an Indian TV channel and to further study abroad, he decided to leave everything to be in the jungle to serve Dharma Sangha... |

On Tuesday, December 21, 2010 approximately one hundred devotees attended Darshan on this auspicious full moon day. The devotees included approximately forty monks, and French and English translators: Ludwig and myself. Beginning at 11:00 the devotees gathered before Khenpo Sonam Gyurme’s hut for tea, to listen to plans for the sangha and receive instruction regarding the Eight Morals (Ashta Shila)... |

This is just my story on how I decided to become a monk under The Most Venerable Dharma Sangha. It wasn't my intention to do so in the beginning. I didn't have any great meditations or see him in dreams. But like most of the people I met, I felt like there was a connections and I had to see for myself if there was any validity to all these crazy feelings I was having... |
